Environmentally responsible plastic.
Polylactic acid or polylactide (PLA) is a polyester derived from renewable biomass, typically from fermented plant starch, such as corn, cassava, sugarcane or sugar beet pulp. The carbon emissions associated with PLA production are 80% lower than that of traditional plastic (source).
In house 3d printing
3D printing helps to remove a big chunk of the initial investment when bringing a new product to market. This gives startups with a nice product but without financial backing the chance to go to market with a significantly lowered risk.
